Mr Cooper’s House & Garden by Simon Rogan are pleased to announce the appointment of their new Head Chef Robert Taylor.

Robert has been in the industry for almost 19 years and comes to Mr Cooper’s from 4 AA Rosette restaurant, Manchester House, inManchester city centre. During his career he has worked across the UK from luxury restaurants in the Lake District to prestigious restaurants in the Cotswolds such as Buckland Manor, which at the time of his employment held 3 AA Rosettes and a coveted Michelin star.

Robert is now concentrating on driving the food forward at 2 AA Rosette restaurant Mr Cooper’s and is looking forward to working with Chef Patron Simon Rogan, whose ethos and vision of strengthening the link between our food, its development and the environment, he shares.

Robert says: ‘I feel very privileged to be working as Head Chef at such an esteemed restaurant as Mr Cooper’s. I’m really looking to build on the fantastic standard of dining the restaurant is known for.’

He is an extremely talented and exciting chef who has refined his skills working alongside Aiden Byrne at Manchester House. Mr Cooper’s recently celebrated its first appearance in Waitrose’s The Good Food Guide 2017. Detailing the UK’s best restaurants, the prestigious guide praised Mr Cooper’s for its ‘sense of relaxed enjoyment’ and ‘exciting choice of dishes’.
